Privacy Policy
How Memobook handles your account, conversations, and learning data.

About this policy
This policy describes how Memobook handles information when you use memobook.ai. For privacy questions or requests about your information, contact felipeflores@memobook.ai.
Your Google account
Memobook uses Google to sign you in. We receive your Google account identifier, name, email address, email-verification status, and profile image. We store the account and session information needed to recognize you and protect your account, including authentication tokens supplied by Google.
The Google sign-in permissions are limited to basic identity: OpenID, email, and profile. Memobook does not receive your Google password or request access to your Gmail messages, Drive files, or Calendar through this sign-in.
Your conversations and learning records
We store the information you add to Memobook, such as learning goals, scenarios, source material, and Tutor messages. We also store learning records produced during use, including conversation transcripts, feedback, level estimates, vocabulary, corrections, exercises, and assessment results.
We use this information to create and personalize your Memobooks, conduct practice conversations, generate feedback and exercises, and let you return to your earlier work. Books are private by default.
Microphone audio and AI services
When you start a speaking session, your browser sends microphone audio to Google Gemini to support the live conversation. Relevant conversation text and learning context are also sent to Gemini for features such as Tutor replies, feedback, lesson creation, transcription, and generated speech.
Pronunciation assessment can send samples of your speech to Speechace, together with a pseudonymous user identifier and a session identifier. The assessment results are saved with your learning records. Raw session recordings are not stored in Memobook's learning database; generated playback audio may be cached on your device.
Google's Gemini API data handling depends on the service tier. Its unpaid-service terms allow submitted content and responses to be used for product and model improvement, including review by people; paid-service terms say prompts and responses are not used for those purposes. Do not submit sensitive or confidential material.
Speechace's published API policy states that submitted audio and associated request data are retained for 90 days by default, unless a separate enterprise agreement specifies otherwise. It states that this audio is not used to train its models. The provider policies linked below explain their handling in more detail.
Hosting, storage, and technical information
Vercel hosts Memobook, and Neon provides its database. These services process account and learning data as needed to operate the application. Technical requests and errors can produce operational logs used to maintain and troubleshoot the service. Providers may process information in countries other than your own.
Memobook uses cookies for sign-in sessions, protection against forged requests, and temporary Google sign-in steps. Browser storage also keeps preferences and temporary drafts, and may cache generated playback audio. Clearing your browser data removes those local records and can sign you out; it does not delete information stored in your account.
Retention, export, and deletion requests
Account and saved learning records currently have no automatic expiry. Archiving a Memobook hides it from your active collection while retaining its associated records; archiving is not permanent deletion.
You can download an individual Memobook as JSON from its settings, including the learning records included in that book. To request access, correction, or deletion of account information or other stored content, email felipeflores@memobook.ai. We may need to verify that the account or information belongs to you before acting on a request.
There is currently no account-deletion button or complete account-export interface. Provider records and backups can be subject to separate retention rules; deleting browser storage or archiving a book does not remove those records.
Age, updates, and contact
Memobook is intended for people aged 18 or older. If you believe a child has provided personal information to Memobook, contact felipeflores@memobook.ai.
We may update this policy as the service changes. The date shown on this page identifies the latest version. Contact felipeflores@memobook.ai with questions about this policy or your information.
